Brooks Advert and behind the scenes video

Earlier this year I was asked to take part in a photo shoot by Brooks England for their latest print advert. It’s always nice to be on the other side of the lens as it reminds me just how hard it is for those you are shooting. Photo shoots are always a lengthy process and models often wonder; why it takes so long? The answer to this is; everything needs to be perfect! It is especially hard shooting a large number of people as the variables increase making things quite tricky.

You have to really plan and think ahead; what is the advert being used for? Will it be a single or double page spread? The last thing you want is someone hidden in the centrefold and of course everything has to be perfectly sharp. The shoot involved a lot of standing around and even though it was a cold day spirits remained high

To be honest I really enjoy these sort of projects. The Brooks team are a great bunch and they were extremely efficient; which was really nice. The photographer Frank Herholdt is a legend and it was an honour to work with him, he is also hilarious and his directions had me in stitches! I think the advert came out really well, what do you think?

Bregan from Brooks put together this Behind the Scenes edit which really captures the feel of the day; enjoy! Make sure you check out the latest saddle bag and backpack range from Brooks. I think the range is great, proving Brooks ado so much more than simply producing great saddles. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the future. Thank you Brooks England for inviting me along.
